I DO GET IT

have thought long and hard about posting this but following my post last night from earlier this week I felt it was important that you can all identify with me. And I comfortable enough with you all to share this as I think you are all awesome. When I begin working with many of you, you feel that there is no light at the end of the tunnel and that euthanasia is your last option for your beloved Dog. You have little faith in me, but come to me because of my recommendations. You feel despondent, isolated, depressed and alone with your Dog that your finding hard to manage. Many of you feel worse when you see me handling your Dog and getting an automatic positve behaviour from your Dog.
I explain this to you all, all of the time as a kind of mantra;
🙈When it is not fun anymore stop, yep just like the Gambling awareness signs. As soon as your getting stressed with your Dog, stop the training take a break try again either later or at another time. Why? Because your stressing both yourselves out.
🙈 The Grandparent effect. I come to you and handle your Dog for around an hour, I have no stress, nerves or fear of your Dog, their behviour of them embarassing me. Many of you know my feelings to judgy people and I do this 🖕 for many of you it boosts your confidence.
🙈 Many of you do not realise I grew up with reactive and aggressive Dogs. Chilled out Dogs was something unknown to me. Hence why I have no fear and do not think for a minute it was easy or not scary or that I did not get injured because I did. Alot. But I was taught and self learnt from a very young age to manage these reactive and aggressive Dogs.
🙈Yes, I do know how you feel. I have been frustrated, fed up, felt lost at times, working with Dogs and personal Dogs too. I have felt isolated and alone in this industry at times. I have felt frustrated for owners, I have felt frustrated for Rescues, for the industry, for Colleagues and associates, fed up with the law, fed up with other peoples behaviours... the list is endless.
🙈I have worked with hundreds upon hundreds of Dogs, this is second nature to me and as I always say another mantra, chances are I COULD NOT DO YOUR JOB. You pay me for a reason, to come and train your Dogs, you check ou my qualifcations and reviews for a reason. I will most likely come to you in your place of work for a Service of some description and have absolutely no idea how the hell you do your job. And the old age saying, I was raised to respect the Janitor applies as I am only human and nothing special and I look up to and admire people both in my own industry and other industries whether it is with Animals, Health Care, Artists, Shops, whatever I respect everyone, we are all equal.
🙈 I am not a Dog Whisperer I am just me.
🙈 I do not come into your home to berate you or criticise you or your way of living or the behaviours you allow your Dogs such as sitting on the Sofa, the bed etc yada yada yada. YOUR HOME, YOUR RULES, YOUR BEST FRIEND
🙈Yes, just like you I can get down and depressed, and sure obviously for different reasons than yourselves. Dr, Sophie Yin, a renowned behaviourist recently committed suicide aged only 48 years old. Ceaser Milan (whether you like him or not) attempted suicide a few years ago. Around 30 Vets a year commit suicide and because of this the Royal Veterinairan Surgeons have a dedicated helpine called Vetlife, which receives 1.285 calls per year!!! We, too can get depressed and despondent. We don't just deal with the odd Dog, we deal with different ones day in day out, with different stories and backgrounds, different needs, risks and goals.
🙈Yes in my job over the years, I have been injured alot, for varying reaons. It is my profession, my specialist skills, my choice, so injuries is an Occupational Hazard another reason I am insured. This is my choice and I much prefer when you laugh with me about it 😂
🙈YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!
🙈@miyagis dog training advie is your port of call for a support network from fellow owners.
🙈There is hope. All you have to do is follow the advice, the Training and the homework. Have an open mind, determination and find the love and the bond for your Dog once again
❤❤❤ PS I have all the time in the world and the UPMOST RESPECT for you all who seek out Training, Support and help there is no shame 💚💚💚

Or are you looking for support and would like to get to know us better?

If the answer is yes then click the image below to join my free facebook group. What is Miyagis Dog Training Community?

So it is what it says on the tin! Its a community that is international of Clients and Colleagues with the most supportive and friendly people on the planet. Dog Trainers and Behaviourists from all over the world!

Why did I set up such a mammoth group?

I wanted to have a group exclusively for Clients. For support and to meet uo and build on friendships from Classes or One to Ones. I want Clients to see you are not alone with your Dog and the problem you maybe having that you are not the first and won't be the last! I wanted a safe place where Clients could trade stories good and bad in one place for free!

I also wanted a safe place for the Trainers and Behaviourists I mentor within Social Media Platforms.

Why do this for free?

Because when I say I offer an holistic service I really do. It isn't about the money it is about you and your dogs. You and your dogs are all that matter.

So I wanted to encourage people to do homework and build better quality relationships with their dogs. So 3 years ago I had a mad idea and set up the 100 days of dog training challenge. Once a day people would spend 5 minutes plus training their dog. Recording it and uploading their video onto the Community. Every participant recieved a Certificate.

What I didn't count on was how many Professionals wanted to join and how fast word would spread. So this year 2020 I set up a 366 days of dog training challenge.

We have Clients in America, Greece, Norway, Denmark and Spain. We have Trainers from Greece, Norway, Isle of Wight, America and many more Countries. As well as Dog Trainers and Trainee Behaviourists I mentor all over the world.

So again yes this group is free. It is still primarily for Clients and for people to get to know me but we also have the Challenge running. Again for free. So if you want to join click the image below to be taken to the group directly. See you there!
