Weāve made so much progress with one thing⦠and now something ELSE has appeared.ā
This is more common than you think.
Behaviour change isnāt always a neat process where one difficulty disappears before we move onto the next.
Sometimes reducing one source of stress gives us enough space to finally notice something else.
Sometimes a dog has more capacity to communicate.
Sometimes circumstances change.
Sometimes one behaviour was masking another.
And sometimes dogs simply continue learning and changing because theyāre living beings, not finished projects.
A new difficulty appearing doesnāt erase the work youāve already done.
You havenāt necessarily gone backwards.
You may simply be seeing a part of the picture that wasnāt visible before.
Behaviour isnāt a checklist we eventually complete.
Itās an ongoing conversation. š©µ
