The Mischief Method™ Adventures
Fun, not formality. Learning through paws to play
This isn't about perfect sits, tidy heels or keeping up with the dog next to you.
The Mischief Method™ Adventures are playful, accessible learning experiences designed to help you discover more about your individual dog — how they communicate, what they choose, what helps them feel confident and how you can build connection together.
You don't need a perfectly behaved dog.
You just need your dog

So... What Exactly Is an Adventure?
Think of an Adventure as a ten-week invitation to get curious about your dog.
Each week, we'll explore a different part of your relationship through playful Mischief Missions — looking at things like communication, choice, confidence, problem-solving, scent, movement, cooperative care and the ways your dog experiences the world.
There isn't one exercise that every dog has to complete in exactly the same way. We'll explore ideas together, notice what your dog tells us, and adapt as we go.
Some dogs will dive straight in. Some will watch first. Some will invent an entirely different game and leave us wondering who was actually teaching whom.
All of that is information. All of it counts.
Adventure One: Your Move!
Our first ten-week Adventure begins with one deceptively simple idea:
Stop directing. Start noticing.
Across the Adventure, you'll begin exploring how your dog makes choices, communicates preferences, approaches challenges and responds when we give them a little more room to have a say.
This isn't about progressing through increasingly difficult obedience exercises. It's about building a shared language — and discovering what happens when learning becomes something you do with your dog rather than to them.

Your Adventure Map
Adventure One unfolds over ten weeks, but this isn't a checklist to race through. Each week gives us another opportunity to explore, notice and build on what you and your dog are discovering together.
Week 1 — Listen
Begin exploring two-way communication and what happens when we make space for our dogs to respond.
Week 2 — Choice & Agency
Step back from directing and discover what your dog chooses when there's room to explore.
Week 3 — Building the Conversation
Build on those choices through stations, movement and independent decision-making.
Week 4 — Follow Your Nose
Explore scent and free work through curiosity rather than instruction.
Week 5 — Out in the World
Take your noticing skills beyond the session and observe what matters to your dog in their own environment.
Week 6 — Mix It Up
Revisit familiar ideas with a little more challenge — while noticing when challenge stops being useful.
Week 7 — Working Together
Explore touch, targeting and collaborative-care foundations in ways that leave room for communication and choice.
Week 8 — Look What You Noticed
Reflect on the communication you've discovered and the moments you might once have missed.
Week 9 — Dealer's Choice
You and your dog choose. Revisit a favourite, adapt it, or take it somewhere entirely new.
Week 10 — Campfire & Celebration
Look back at your Adventure, celebrate what you've discovered and decide where your Mischief might take you next.

Your Adventure Comes With a Little Mischief
Adventure One isn't confined to the weekly session.
You'll have your own Mischief Passport to travel through the Adventure with your dog, recording discoveries, collecting badges and making the experience your own.
Along the way you'll find:
-
Your Mischief Passport
-
Weekly Mischief Missions
-
Adventure badges to collect
-
Space for reflections and discoveries
-
Your Adventure certificate
-
And, at the end, your Mischief Medal
Because progress deserves celebrating — even when it looks nothing like you expected.
But What If My Dog Can't Do It?
Then we'll find out what they can do.
There is no single version of an Adventure that every dog and human must complete.
Your dog might be reactive, worried about the outside world, recovering from illness, older, very young, easily overwhelmed or simply completely uninterested in the activity we'd imagined.
You might need to participate sitting down. You might need more processing time. You might have limited space, energy, equipment or support at home.
That's not failing the Adventure. That's information we use to shape it.
Activities can be adapted, alternatives can be explored, and sometimes the most useful thing we can do is decide not to do something.
The Mischief Method™ isn't about fitting you and your dog into the class.
The class needs to leave room for you and your dog.
Adventure From Home
Adventures take place live online, which means your dog can learn from the environment where they're most comfortable — without travelling to a class, sharing a room with unfamiliar dogs or having to perform in a busy group environment.
Your dog can move away, take a break, watch, sleep or opt out.
And because we're joining you remotely, we can adapt activities around the space and resources you actually have.
Home isn't the compromise. It's part of the Adventure.
Pack Light
You don't need a cupboard full of specialist dog-training equipment.
Most Missions use things you already have at home, and I'll let you know in advance if there's anything useful to have nearby.
Bring your dog, something they genuinely enjoy, your Mischief Passport — and your curiosity.
Perfect preparation is not required
