Today’s tiny check: Jade Plant

Those thick, glossy succulent leaves?

Beautiful.

Snack? Not so much 😅

Jade plants are considered toxic to dogs, although the exact toxic compound isn’t fully understood.

For some dogs, this may mean:

🐾 Vomiting

🐾 Lethargy

🐾 Reduced appetite

🐾 Occasionally, a little wobbliness

Many dogs never show any interest in succulents at all.

But for the occasional curious chewer, they’re worth keeping in mind.

🐾 One small thing to do today:

✔ Check whether your Jade Plant is within easy reach.

✔ If your dog enjoys investigating plants, consider placing it on a higher shelf.

✔ Rotate enrichment regularly to help satisfy natural exploratory behaviours.
