Personalised support for you and your dog, from the comfort of home

I keep appointments limited each week so I can offer thoughtful, individual support — please use the “Book Consultation” button to complete the contact form, and I’ll help you find a suitable time.

"Every dog has a story. Some bark, lunge, or hide because the world feels overwhelming. Others struggle to be left alone, or panic at the vet. You are not alone — and neither is your dog."

At Mutts & Mischief, I support dogs and their people with a wide range of behavioural and training needs — from everyday guidance to more complex emotional challenges.

Consultations are held online, so you and your dog can stay relaxed in your own environment.

No pressure. No judgement.

Just practical, kind support.

I also offer support for:

  • Assistance dog temperament assessments

  • Owner-trained assistance dog guidance

  • Preparing dogs for real-world environments and public access

If this is something you’re exploring, you’re very welcome to get in touch to discuss your needs.

What’s Included in Your Consultation

1:1 Behaviour Consultation — £90

  • A 60–90 minute Zoom consultation designed to give you clarity, confidence, and a practical way forward.

  • What’s included:

  • ✔ In-depth assessment of your dog’s history, environment, and behaviour
✔ A relaxed, supportive consultation focused on your dog and your goals
✔ A personalised behaviour plan tailored to your dog and lifestyle
✔ Vet-ready notes and professional referrals where needed
✔ Full recording of your session, plus written transcript
✔ Optional consultation package for ongoing support

What to expect

  • We begin with a calm, in-depth conversation about your dog — their history, daily life, and the behaviours you’re seeing.

  • This allows me to build a full picture so we can focus on what truly matters, rather than just the surface behaviour.

After your session

  • You’ll receive a clear, step-by-step plan tailored specifically to your dog and your goals.

  • No jargon — just practical, realistic guidance that fits your lifestyle.

  • You’ll also have access to supportive tools such as journals and trackers, helping you monitor progress and celebrate the small (but important) wins along the way.

Most guardians choose ongoing support to help their dog make meaningful, lasting progress.

Why choose Mutts & Mischief?

You won’t get an “old-school” trainer here. Dogs are allowed on the sofa, in the bed, and in your heart — because real life matters more than strict obedience.

  • Fun, not formality: training that builds connection, not commands.

  • Science-based & force-free: grounded in kindness, never punishment.

  • Inclusive & understanding: Being autistic, neurodivergent, and living with disability, I understand the need for flexibility, patience, and kindness — for both you and your dog.

  • Holistic & collaborative: I work alongside your vet and care team to make sure your dog’s health and emotions are at the centre of the plan.

What is a Consultation Going to Consist of?

This isn’t as complicated as it sounds—think of it as a helpful toolkit to make sure we’re not missing any important pieces of the puzzle.

Sometimes, a dog’s behavior can be linked to discomfort or an underlying health condition. The consultation helps us work closely to identify patterns, triggers and past experiences, for example mum and dad, may hold the key to the "why" of the behaviour or grandparents. It can be the environment, it can be a past traumatic experience or it could be related to the breed.

You’ll also get my book The Canine Compass: A Health and Behaviour Guide — completely free! It usually sells for £10 and is packed with £50 worth of value.

This helps us to work with your vet to rule out pain or health issues that might be contributing to your dog’s behavior.

Most people are shocked when we suggest a veterinarian check however Mills, et al (2020) found 80% of dogs presenting with new behaviours were actually experiencing pain and or unwellness. https://www.mdpi.com/2076-2615/10/2/318

It includes:
✅ Simple forms to share key observations with your vet.
✅ A checklist of things to discuss with your vet, so nothing gets overlooked.
✅ Tools like the Helsinki Pain Scale to identify subtle signs of pain or discomfort.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need to monitor key factors like eating habits, sleep patterns, and exercise levels. Identify potential changes in your dog’s behavior and explore what may have triggered them.

Use the included Helsinki Pain Scale to assess your dog’s discomfort, keep video records for professionals, and understand how physical issues could be affecting their behavior.

Plus, you can store your dog’s medical notes, vet visits, hydrotherapy details, and more in one place, ensuring a collaborative approach from your dog’s multidisciplinary team.

This pack is all about making sure your dog’s health and happiness are fully supported. Most guardians find it really helpful for improving communication with their vet—and many vets appreciate it too!
